Abstract

The purposes of this reflection are to systematize the main characteristics associated with the process of return and reintegration of Angolan refugees in neighbouring countries, to shed some light and identify clues that allow a better understanding of the linkage between the circumstances that surrounded the return of refugees and also the trajectories and the logic of internal mobility of former Angolan refugees. It is also a purpose of this study to relate the return of the refugees with the characteristics of the urbanization of the country. Lastly, a final analytical focus is on the recent wave of refugees from the DRC (2017), in the context of the military conflict affecting parts of the neighbouring country, which has brought about 35,000 refugees to Angola.
